Inspired by the classic styling at the heart of the Margot Molyneux brand, the store’s brass details, Grecian curves and dreamy palette achieve an air of feminine sophistication.

“We wanted to create a beautiful space that women would love visiting and where they would feel entirely comfortable,” said head designer, Margot Molyneux. “Even more exciting was the fact that the store was a blank canvas, which meant we were able to make it entirely our own.”

Working closely with her husband, Marlon Leggat, and his team at Framework enabled her to be intimately involved with every step of the renovation. The pink travertine wall was one of the first elements they decided on after discovering the tiles locally, while the striking floor is made of fragments of recycled marble tiles laid in terrazzo. “The result was even more beautiful than I could have imagined,” added Margot. With true dedication, every piece of exquisite furniture was also all custom made for the store, either by local businesses or by Margot and her husband.

The deliberate attention that Margot invested into each aspect of her store extends to the service she offers her customers. “One of the reasons we have been so focused on opening a store is that we want to engage with our customer on a more personal level. We now offer complimentary alteration services and are also planning a series of after-hour classes and community-based events, which we hope will bring like-minded people together and open up a space of learning and discussion,” she added.

As for what to expect next season, Margot’s got lots planned. “We’ll be releasing an update to our Spring Collection that includes swimsuits — now available in store. We’re already working on our new colour palette for winter, alongside the dye experts, experimenting with more luxe fabrics and exploring new accessory ideas. Look out for upcoming collaborations, too!”

On the response to the MM store, Margot adds that they couldn’t be happier. “Our loyal customers have supported us wonderfully and we’ve met many more new ones already. Having a space that properly communicates our brand's aesthetic has been an incredible step for us and we look forward to an exciting year and to all the possibilities it brings.”
