L'Ormarins Private Cuvée 2014
The maiden vintage of this new premiere offering from Anthonij Rupert’s L’Ormarins range delivers a wine as spectacular as its exterior - a gorgeous, fluted bottle designed by artist Mark Eisen. Made using exclusively the Tete de Cuvee (the finest juice from the first press), the wine - with its almost pearlescent, onion-skin hue and vivacious, fine bubbles - offers yeasty aromas of freshly baked bread together with the freshness of stone fruit and berries on the nose. The palate follows with lemon zest and marmalade building on those initial autolytic and fruit notes leading to a long lingering finish.
