New York Fashion Week Fall 2020 has officially come to a close. From Vera Wang’s furry neck braces to Chromat’s inclusivity, the season’s runways were to die for - and street fashion brought its own innovative glamour. Here is a look at some of the hottest fashion week trends this autumn.
1. MINI BAG MANIA
Dior’s mini bags are wildly popular. We like them as a solo piece in a stylish ensemble or the more maximalist take of draping all your bags at once.
2. FUN LAYERING FOR WINTER
Combinations of contrasting textures and frills offered a fun new way of layering for the chillier weather.
3. BIG BEANIES
Go big or go home. These Marc Jacobs fall 2017 oversized beanies were all the rage again.
4. STUN WITH SIMPLICITY
Keeping it simple can still be a head-turner. Look no further than this norm-core aesthetic - a bold gold suit paired with chunky white boots.
5. CLUTCH ON BOX BAGS
Boxy clutch bags were never out of sight. Make them pop by wearing a complementary colour- blocking outfit.
6. SHIMMER, BABY
We can’t help but swoon at Coco Rocha’s little daughter, Ioni Conran, in a shimmering dress paired with a leather jacket.
7. BOLD PRINTS
We do love a bold print– especially this head-turner from supermodel Karlie Kloss. The drop-dead gorgeous coat is splattered with daises and its leopard-print lining roars loudly. If contrasting prints are too much for you, simpler two-piece ensembles with minimal makeup should do the trick.
