The one indulgence you would never forgo? Really good bed linen.

The grooming staples you are never without are… Commes des Garcons Man 2 and Byredo Encens Chembur.

Your all-time favourite gadget? My now very bashed-up iPhone.

The single object you would never part with? A rose-gold signet ring I inherited from my grandfather.

Your favourite drink? A negroni. 

The restaurant you frequent most often? Clarkes bar & dining room in Cape Town.

Your personal style signifier? Once again, my signet ring.

The last thing you bought and loved? An oak and oxidised brass James Mudge server.

Your favourite timepiece and why? I don’t wear a watch.

An unforgettable place you’ve travelled to in the past year? A pristine white cottage right on a deserted beach up the West Coast last November. It was magical! 

The book on your bedside table? The Fantastic Man compendium of best articles ... a fantastic read!

The last meal that truly impressed you? A meal made by my friend Lyndall Maunder, who is a chef. A table filled with seasonal salads with ingredients right from her garden. It was incredible!

The last music you downloaded? The discography of Blood Orange.

The thing you are eyeing next? A yellowwood demilune from Lutge Gallery.

The one thing you will always find in your fridge? Pellegrino.

The best gift you’ve given recently? A small seascape by Gabi Lee.

And the best one you’ve received? I love Wonki Ware and my friends are constantly buying me bowls.

The place that inspires you and why? My home, it’s like a little laboratory for trying out new ideas.

A recent special “find/discovery”? A little shop in Wynberg that sells the most incredible antique hardware.

The last item you added to your wardrobe? A pair of Paul Smith vellies. 

Favourite city and why? Cape Town. It it has everything – city life, the  ocean, mountains and nature, and after all it is home!
