If you’re on the hunt for Christmas presents, Huawei has you covered. The international technology giant’s range of earphones are for everyone: music lovers wanting great sound wherever they go, students listening to lectures online and professionals conducting business meetings on the run.

With their remarkable technological capabilities and beautiful aesthetic, the Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick and Huawei FreeBuds 4i are both great options. Take a look at what each offers before adding one to the list of gifts you want to get for family and friends — or even the list of gifts you want to receive yourself.

Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick

Created at the brand's aesthetic research centre in Paris, France, the newly launched Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick is charming, fun and sophisticated all at once. The red earphones are designed to look like a slick of lipstick and the glamorous gold and black charging case, the tube in which it comes.

The charging case of the Huawei Freebuds Lipstick is made from corrosion- and heat-resistant stainless steel, giving it a smooth, sleek and mirror-like exterior.

The earphones have an open-fit design, which allows for better ventilation and means you're less likely to feel a build-up of pressure inside your ears, so you can comfortably wear them for hours without noticing. Though you'll certainly notice their impressive sound quality thanks to features such as active noise cancellation and AEM technology.

AEM technology automatically detects both the shape of your ear canal and the wearing conditions to assign equaliser settings that'll give you the best possible sound.

The earphones support three equaliser modes — balanced, bass boost and treble boost — and you can switch between them to personalise your listening experience should you prefer.

Huawei FreeBuds 4i

Like the Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick, Huawei FreeBuds 4i boast active noise cancellation, a feature not often seen in earphones of this price range, and one which offers an immersive sound experience whether you’re in a bustling shopping centre or on the move in the car.

When active noise cancellation is turned off, these earphones offer up to 10 hours of continuous music playback or 6.5 hours of voice calls on a full charge. Together with a fully-charged case, they can give you up to 22 hours of music playback or 14 hours of voice calls.

Best of all, fast changing means they can deliver four hours of listening pleasure after just 10 minutes of being plugged in.

Available in black or ceramic white, Huawei FreeBuds 4i come with three sizes of soft silicone ear tips so you can pick the size that's most comfortable. The compact, oval charging case fits in the palm of your hand so you can carry it around with ease.

It's a tough choice between the Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick and Huawei FreeBuds 4i, but with both offering a winning combination of stylish design and superior sound quality, you can't go wrong no matter which one you pick.

The Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick is priced at R3,999 and Huawei FreeBuds 4i at R1,999. Shop them online at the Huawei store.
