With the explosive rise in straight-to-streaming movie premieres - which have tripled over the last year - everyone is looking for theatre-like audio experiences as they continue to invest in their home.
Building on its leadership in the home theatre category, Sonos has unveiled Beam (Gen 2), the newest version of its compact smart soundbar for TV, music, gaming and more.
The new Beam delivers an upgraded, more immersive sound experience, all in the same compact size, thanks to exciting technological improvements.
“We often talk about ‘Hollywood at Home’ being a real catalyst for our business, and Beam has played a huge part in this as one of the top-selling soundbars in its category,” said Sonos CEO Patrick Spence.
“Taking what we've learnt over the years about great listening and home theatre , we've found a way to bring new features and significantly better sound to Beam, all in the same compact size that has proven extremely popular with customers.”
The new Beam has greater depth and clarity, as well as support for Dolby Atmos and is compatible with more than 100 streaming services available in the Sonos app.
Beam (Gen 2) possesses impressive new features including :
- 3D Audio with Dolby Atmos
- Enhanced sound
- HDMI eARC compatibility
- Sleeker design
- Easy set up
Beam can be controlled with the Sonos app, your existing TV remote, multiple voice assistants and has Apple AirPlay 2 support, music service app support, and more.
You can use Beam on its own or expand it wirelessly with a subwoofer and pair of rear speakers for even more immersive entertainment.
Launching later this year in select markets, Sonos plans to support Dolby Atmos Music, an immersive audio format, on Arc and Beam (Gen 2).
Sonos has also announced plans to add support for decoding DTS Digital Surround Sound later this year via the S2 platform on Playbar, Playbase, Amp, both generations of Beam and Arc.
