We live in a productivity focused world where nearly everything feels high priority, and often it feels like we don’t have enough time in the day to get everything done.

There have been many instances where I found myself wishing that I could yell out “Emily? Emily!” and have someone appear who could magically get necessary but time-consuming tasks done.

That’s where Hey Jude comes in.

I firmly believe that technology is a tool that should make our lives easier and that’s exactly what Hey Jude does.

More than just an app, Hey Jude connects you with real people, Judes, who help you get things done without you having to worry about it.

Using the service is easy and only requires a few steps:

  • Download the app (available on iOS or Android)
  • Create a profile (ensure that you add a payment method as well)
  • Try out the three free requests
  • Choose your desired subscription plan once you’ve used up your free requests.

The app is designed to be unobtrusive, user-friendly and focused, with the landing page being a great example of this. When opening the app, I was greeted with an invitation to type in my task, which I did.

With a slightly busier than normal day ahead of me, I needed to get various items couriered to people with same-day delivery, find a Covid-19 vaccination site, write, edit, attend meetings, finalise strategies for various corporate clients, record videos and podcasts, ensure that deadlines were met and get various other tasks done.

Hey Jude can do more than just help find a courier or vaccination site: it can also help you book a car in for a service, reserve a table at a restaurant, find an online tutor or even find and organise healthy meal plans (including getting the grocery shopping done that will help you make those meal plans).

You’re probably reading this and thinking, “Ok but those tasks aren’t exactly tedious or difficult, so why do I need this?” And you’d be correct — those tasks aren’t tedious but they are time-intensive and if there’s one thing that we’ve all learnt over the past year-and-a-half, it’s that time is a valuable resource that can never be replenished.

Many of tech’s visionary CEOs are known for their laser focus on their priorities, and didn’t expend unnecessary time or brain power on worrying about the day-to-day tasks that needed to get done. By allowing themselves to focus their energy on bigger things, they were able to achieve more and have more control over their lives and what they wanted to do.

That’s what Hey Jude affords you, the luxury of time. Thanks to the service of the wonderfully efficient and friendly Judes, I could now focus on the things that really needed to get done without having the constant nagging voice in the back of my mind worrying about all the other things that needed to get done and that in turn empowered me to start becoming a better, more focused, more present person.
