Guests can choose from a concise — about 10-15 bottles — yet carefully curated selection of sparkling, white, rosé, red and even orange wines, or opt for the flight, which includes a curated, five-glass tasting and runs the gamut of the styles of wine on offer.
Currently available are the likes of Lubanzi’s Rainboat Pét Nat — a sparkling wine made from Cinsault, Testalonga’s Mangaliza Hárslevelú and Restless River’s Wanderlust pinot noir, among others.

Winebar offers an ever-changing and always interesting selection of SA wines, all available by the glass

Father Coffee, the popular coffee shop and roastery known for its Scandi-inspired space and hipster-ish persona, opened a winebar within its Kramerville head office and shop earlier this year, and it’s simply called Winebar.
Taking up half of their coffee counter, the recent addition offers up an everchanging and always interesting selection of South African wines — all available by the glass (125ml). Having opened in mid-March, the winebar is already on its 29th menu — changing things up as bottles run out and new finds are discovered.

Though the list is very much driven by what the team enjoys drinking, there’s a definite focus on the interesting and unusual, with the list featuring predominantly small batch and boutique wineries and winemakers — especially those who follow a minimal intervention or natural approach to winemaking.
