Regardless of what your wallet is saying at the moment (thanks petrol hikes), a trip to Italy is always a good idea.  Just thinking about la dolce vita can put anyone in a good mood so we were pleased when the Acqua Di Parma brand brought the essence of Italian life to our chilly SA winter with an intimate affair — and a spanking new fragrance to boot.

The essence of Italian life

Steeped in Italian tradition since being founded in 1916, the Acqua Di Parma brand has always placed its valuing of excellence, craftsmanship and Italian lifestyle in every scent creation.

Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Four Seasons Westcliff Hotel, the launch for Acqua Di Parma Colonia C.L.U.B celebrated all things Italian, with an intimate luncheon that cast our minds to Italian Palazzos, ivy-covered terraces, gardens and dining al fresco.

The essence of C.L.U.B

Acqua Di Parma Colonia C.L.U.B (community, life, unique and bond) is a fragrance symbolic of deep connections, the joy found in authentic moments, emotional ties and unforgettable experiences with friends. With an exciting, light-hearted and genderless scent profile, Acqua Di Parma Colonia C.L.U.B is an aromatic, woody musk with a spicy freshness in the opening thanks to notes of bergamot, lemon, pink pepper and black pepper.

Heart notes of shiso and rosemary add an aromatic vigour to the juice while base notes of cedarwood and musk cocoon the senses with woody warmth. Taking us on a sensory journey that celebrates the emotions conveyed by each Colonia fragrance of the Maison, the Acqua Di Parma Colonia C.L.U.B campaign, captured by famous SA-born photographer, Koto Bolofo aka the King Of Emotions, joyfully conveys the wide spectrum of human emotions and feelings of connection synonymous with the Italian life, which his famed snapshots so elegantly portray.

The packaging

In keeping with Acqua Di Parma’s signature cylindrical bottle and box shape, the iconic Acqua Di Parma yellow shade is traded for an ivy green colour story with Art Deco influences. With recognisable elements such as the Maison’s coat of arms on the label and the sophisticated textured casing, the dark green hue echoes the aromatic notes of the eau de cologne.
