Two new fragrances to add to your collection

1. BULGARI LE GEMME MEN’S TRILOGY

Bulgari has always favoured musk, and this olfactory note gives its fragrances a luxurious signature. Bulgari’s high perfumery pillar, Le Gemme, gets three new male additions that celebrate different types of musk. We cannot get enough of Yasep, an oriental musk with sandalwood, Sichuan pepper, and woody musk. You may well be drawn to Opalon, a zesty white musk with neroli, white musk, and ambergris, or Falkar, a woody musk with black musk and leather saffron accord. We suggest you nab all three. 

2. CHANEL GABRIELLE CHANEL ESSENCE

Chanel’s perfumer-creator Olivier Polge shares why Gabrielle Chanel Essence is your next must-have fragrance. 

How has this bouquet of white flowers evolved from your initial score to the new version? In the Gabrielle Chanel eau de parfum, sparkling orange blossom already brought freshness, ylang-ylang, radiance and femininity, jasmine, intensity, and tuberose, creaminess. Using the same combination, Gabrielle Chanel Essence puts a stronger emphasis on tuberose, which is upheld by creamier notes to become more enveloping.

What makes Grasse tuberose, exclusive to Chanel, so unique? The French Riviera is an extraordinary place that combines a temperate climate, the perfect amount of sun, and very fertile soil. Chanel offered to buy the bulbs from the last tuberose producer in Grasse and replant them in a 2.5ha field to preserve the cultivation of the flower. Harvesting is done daily from late August to early November. We have thus developed our own quality of tuberose in close collaboration with Grasse’s flower-growing Mul family. The special extraction process has been honed over the years, more cleanly capturing the scent of the flower’s petal, as if smelled in an open field and divested of its waxy, animal, leather, and green facets.
