Fashion meets art in Louis Vuitton’s latest collaboration with contemporary artist Jeff Koons – a master of entertaining and engaging artworks, well known for his blown up, stainless steel toy rabbit sculpture, Rabbit (1986).

The collection, titled “Masters”, transforms iconic Louis Vuitton bags and accessories into wearable art, with well known signature LV pieces such as the Speedy, the Keepall and the Neverfull, being masterfully emblazoned with Koons’ well known ‘Gazing Ball’ paintings – a series of hand painted artworks, re-creating the works of Old Masters including; Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Titian, Rubens and Fragonard.

Each canvas bag, which features bold lettering of it’s artists name and a biography and portrait of the Master inside the bag, comes complete with a tag in the shape of the inflatable rabbit – a signature Koons’s motif.

The Masters collection, which launches on 28 April, is just the beginning. More is still to come from the ongoing collaboration between the iconic artist and luxury fashion house, as they continue to explore and celebrate the connection between art and fashion.
