From Versace to Prada, Milan Fashion Week is a platform for the biggest brands in the world. While the coronavirus outbreak might have made a few reluctant to attend, there was no stopping the sartorially gifted form gracing the Italian city’s streets in the latest threads.

1. THINK PINK

Fashionistas were not shy to play with pink palettes on the streets of Milan, extending even to shocking-pink wigs, effortlessly tamed by softer tones through layered outfits.

2. HEMLINES COME IN

The style was already popular for cargo pants and denim but the trend of tying one’s formal pants trickled out from number of fashion weeks to become a full-blown staple among those attending fashion week.

3. EDGES ON FLEEK

Perfectly laid down with an edging comb or cut to a T for the perfect lineup, male attendees were inventive with their hair, especially when it came to edges. A trend definitely worth trying if you are a fan of gender fluidity or ’90s hip hop maximilism.

4. ALL TIED UP

From cloaks to neck ties, there was a craze for bows and knots paired with chic ensembles and androgynous suits elevating ’40s glamour.

5. OVERSIZE YOUR HEART OUT

Dominated by oversized jackets and coats, Milan fashionistas were going big with their style choices. In a playful twist, jackets easily became dresses which steered away from the modish looks that have come to define the general aesthetic.
