Corfu, the new eau de parfum from the Graines Vagabondes collection, is a solar perfume as vibrant as the Greek sky, leaving a warm trail on the skin, like a memory of a dip in the Ionian Sea.

The fragrance is a modern chypre overdosed with musk. Opening with a tart rhubarb, fizzy citrus and aromatic basil, it evolves towards a soft and delicate bouquet, leaving on the skin a sophisticated scent with notes of milky sandalwood, creamy amber and cashmere woods.

The sea has shaped a legend that electrifies the enamoured hearts, announcing a smile of bergamot, tangerine, grapefruit, rose oil and patchouli.

Whoever swims through this rocky passage made up of golden reliefs such as amber, and turquoise water as soft as iris, will know a lasting love. The “Canal d’Amour”, such is its name, patient. He knows the Greek island has many other secrets to share, woven of jasmine, ambrette seeds, sandalwood, and tonka bean; fruits of so many influences.

Here stands the blackcurrant absolute, where raspberry and peach are combined. Beautifully wild, mountainous and wooded landscapes lead to visions of Italian, French and British architecture, Byzantine churches and Roman remains. Epochs, cultures, cedarwood, musk and lily-of-the-valley, the languages, traditions, rhubarb and geraniums, can all be found in Corfu – the island of all encounters.

“The odour of rhubarb will come first, and when I walk with eyes closed along your scrubland trails, I know I’ll love your copses of cypress trees. Perhaps I’ll get lost in your sprawling olive groves. Deep in the woods, I’ll savour the memory of an animal carrying musk and harmony.”

To continue the journey, Memo Paris loves the company of artists, authors and illustrators, who let their imagination wander along the landscape and created an illustrated book: Albane Gellé as the author and Valérie Linder as the illustrator.

Albane Gellé, French poet born in 1971, co-founder of the Littérature et Poétiques association, has written many poetry collections and loves painting landscape portraits while in writing residencies; creating one for Corfu seemed evident to her from the outset.

Valérie Linder, visual artist, illustrator, graphic designer, has also been teaching design and applied arts for more than 20 years. Impassioned by drawing and words, she willingly accompanies texts by contemporary authors with images, like the one here for the Corfu perfume.

Corfu opens a new chapter for Memo Paris, another step in its commitment to the environment. The new packaging comprises 80% recycled paper and is wrapped in sustainable Cellophane.

The choice of design enrobing the Memo Paris box is inspired by the Tendre map, a symbolic representation of an imaginary and personal country, which shows the different stages of life. Here, geography is linked to the different fragrances in the Memo world, in both the emotional and sensory destinations.
