“True Design is built around a true commitment to the principles of design, with no compromise,” says Aldon Mc Leod, Director of True Design. “Nico is a fresh, up and coming artist with a keen eye for structured elements and detail – creating the perfect fit for a collaboration with True Design.”

Since 2008, Krijno has used his background in theatre and experimental video to explore the space between photography and the process of painting, photography and ephemeral sculpture. With multiple solo and group exhibitions to his name, Krijno is carving an individual path through the current barrage of abstract photographic image making, with his limited edition book, Synonym Study, shortlisted for the Paris Photo First Book Prize in 2014.

True Design’s two showrooms for Cassina and Kartell at Trumpet are also home to its interior design services. There are three showrooms in Cape Town’s De Waterkant: a Cassina flagship store, a Kartell flagship store and a multibrand showroom that showcases a number of its other brands, such as Moroso,
Cappellini, Nemo Lighting and Diesel Furniture.
